Okin (Peacock)

In “Okin” (meaning ‘Peacock’), I wish to capture the idea of standing out, of being a true star, just like a peacock shows off its beautiful feathers. On this bright blue background, you see a central figure, dressed in vibrant red, with a crown on their head, striking a dance pose. They’re clearly the center of attention, moving with confidence. Flanking them are two other figures, almost like shadowy or supportive presences, blending into the blue background. For me, this painting is about embracing your uniqueness and your talent, letting your true self shine, and taking center stage with grace and power, just like a peacock proudly displays its magnificent colors.
